[6.16.27] – Padres 6, Mets 5 (12 innings) – The Mets take a 5-2 lead in the 6th when Williamson drives in a pair with a single. He gives it back in the seventh and doesn't make it out of the inning. It stays tied until the 12th when Alvarez allows three singles in the bottom of the 12th as Horace Welch singles to right to win the game.
[6.17.27] – Mets 4, Padres 3 – Scalfaro (18) ties the game in the fourth with a 2-run home run. Short had three hits, including a triple and Fisher (3-7) got the win with 6.1 decent innings, his era was still 6.87. Rushton (19) got the save.

The Mets 43-32 are a game behind the Phillies and Braves tied atop the NL East at the All-Star break.
The Mets have three All Stars. Scalfaro and Smith each get elected to their 10th All Star Game and Gardner to his first.
Pittsburgh Pirates starter Ietsuna Kichida becomes the second Pirates starter to strikeouts 15 in a game. He struck out 15 in 8.2
[6.20.27] – National 8, American 0 – Eight NL pitchers combine on a 5-hitter and New York Mets Ralph Smith wins MVP with a double, home run and 3rbi. The game was played in Kingsdown Gardens, the home of the London Kings.
[6.22.27] – Diamondbacks 10, Mets 5 – Short (6) hits a grand slam and drives in all five runs, but Williamson (6-4) gets knocked around and can't escape the 4th inning when Arizona puts 8 on the board as they get six 2-out hits and a walk, extending the lead from 1-0 to 8-0.
In his first relief appearance of the season Isamu Okazaki needs to come out with tenderness in the elbow. What a puss. Alastair Atteridge is coming off the DL to take his spot in the bullpen.
[6.23.27] – Mets 5, Diamondbacks 4 – Fulton allows a 3-run homer in the first, but Smith (26) and Scalfaro (21) go back-to-back in the third to tie the game at 3, only to see Fulton give it back in the 4th. The Mets tie the game in the 7th on a Short double and take the lead in the 8th when Finley drives home Caraballo to put the Mets up 5-4. Monje pitches a perfect 8th and Rushton does the same in the 9th for his 20th save. LeBlanc (5-1) got the win for his 1 inning of relief.
[6.24.27] – Mets 5, Diamondbacks 4 – Fisher (4-7) 8ip 9h 4er 2bb 7k 2hr is able to avoid a few long balls and Finley (14) drives in three. Rushton (21) gets the save.
The Mets are 45-33 and are a game behind the Braves and tied with the Phillies.
[6.25.27] – Mets 2, Pirates 1 – Gardner (9-6) 8ip 7h 1er 3bb 8k plays with fire all day and needs to have Finley throw out the tying run at home in the 6th to keep the Mets in the lead. The Pirates strand 11 runners including 2 in the 9th . Monje (2) allowed two runners to reach base before getting the final three outs for the save, the last out coming when Gomez caught a long drive to center on the track.
The only two Mets runs come on home runs by Gonzalez (4) and Scalfaro (22).
[6.26.27] – Mets 7, Pirates 6 (10 innings) – Williamson leaves men on base in every inning and is chased when he allows his second 3-run homer of the game in the 7th putting the Pirates up 6-2. The Mets get three back in the bottom of the inning when Short (7) and Caraballo (11) each homer. Gonzalez ties it in the bottom of the 8th with a single.
Smith opens the 10th with a double and moves to third on a passed ball, the Pirates intentionally walk Scalfaro and get Finley to pop out. Hayes hits a single right past the pitcher to end the game. Sheppard (2-1) pitches the 9th and 10th for the win.
[6.27.27] – Mets 5, Pirates 2 – Fulton (9-2) extends his winning streak to 5 with 8 strong innings. He strikes out 11 and walks only 2, it's his third double digit strikeout game of the season. Smith (27) drives in three and Scalfaro (23) and Short (8) also homer as Benes changes the lineup again. Moving Caraballo down to sixth and everyone else up one. Rushton (22) gets the save.
The Mets are 48-33 and 1 game behind the Braves and two ahead of the Philles.

[6.28.27] – Mets 6, Suns 5 – Valdes (2-3) goes five innings for the win and the bullpen pitches four scoreless innings allowing two hits with 7 strikeouts. Rushton (23) closes the door in the 9th for the save. The Mets get five straight hits in the 3rd when they jump out to a 5-2 lead including one of Smith's two doubles.
It is the Mets 6th straight win and moves them into a tie in the NL East (and best record in baseball) with the Braves.
Vancouver Athletics second baseman Chris Wilson collects his 2500th hit all with the A's franchise. At 34 years old he's got a good shot at 3000 hits. A starter since he was 21 in 2014 his lifetime split is 304/385/449 he's hit 300 nine times and never lower than 293 in a full season. He's scored 100 runs seven times (99 twice, 98 once) and driven in 100 just once. A four time All Star he has 4 career hitting streaks of 20 or more games. He is the A's Derek Jeter, but without vd.
[6.29.27] – Suns 7, Mets 4 – The Mets jump out to a 3-0 in the first, but Fisher allows 4 in the 3rd and Atteridge allows 3 in the 4th. The Mets out hit the Suns 14-8, but 13 of those are singles and they strand 13 runners on base, while the Suns leave just 3 on base.
The Mets remain in a tie with the Braves as both teams lost and the Phillies gain a game, the Brewers also pull into a tie with the Mets & Braves for best record in the game at 49-34.
[6.30.27] – Suns 7, Mets 6 (13 innings) – The Mets tie the game with 3 in the top of the 9th off Suns closer Chris Kuhn, the tieing run scoring when Dickerson singles home Smith.
The Mets put men on base in the 10th 11th 12th and 13th but can't get a run across and they strand 16 runners. The fourth Mets reliever, Monje (1-3) takes the loss when he allows a 2-out single in the bottom of the 13th in his third inning of work. Gardner was making his first attempt at 10 wins.
The Brewers became the first team in baseball with 50 wins.
